Mr Turnbull was appointed Executive Chairman in November 2006, and has extensive experience in a senior capacity in both public and private companies. First appointed to a fully listed plc board when he was 29 Laurie has enjoyed a 30 year career as a CEO and senior executive. Former Chairman of the venture capital company Texas Group plc, where he was previously CEO for 15 years, he was responsible for numerous acquisitions and flotations. He has served on the boards of several listed companies in executive and non-executive capacities and has considerable experience in M&A. Since joining the Source BioScience Board he has guided the business strategy for the Company and its acquisitions.

Dr Ash joined Source BioScience during 2005 and was previously Chief Financial Officer before taking up his current role in February 2007. Nick oversaw the disposal of the Group’s Dubai operations in 2006 and refocused the Group’s activities in the UK. He has led the growth and development of the Group, acquiring the technologies and expertise necessary for the Group’s current and planned range of activities, creating a profitable and cash generative business. Nick is a Chartered Accountant and holds a PhD in Mycology. Prior to joining Source Bioscience, he was Finance Director at Eastern Airways and spent nine years with KPMG.

Dr Leaves is the Operations Director having joined the Company in July 2007, subsequently becoming a Board member in June 2008. Nick was a co-founder of Geneservice Limited in 2005 via a management buyout of the company from the Medical Research Council. Prior to this, Nick worked for over ten years in complex genetics and genomics; first for Oxford University on asthma and eczema gene-hunting projects and then for the Medical Research Council in Cambridge on the mouse genome project. Nick originally qualified as a microbiologist and worked in the NHS completing a PhD in 1995 on the molecular methods used to characterise outbreaks of bacterial meningitis.

Dr Foden joined the Board in September 2003 following three years with the healthcare venture capital firm Merlin Biosciences as an Investor Director and 13 years as CEO of Cancer Research Technology. Prior to that she was Head of Academic Liaison at Celltech Ltd . Sue is also a Non-Executive Director of Vectura plc, Cellcentric Ltd, Cizzle Biotech Ltd and of the seed funds Rainbow and Cascade Ltd. She is a member of a number of Advisory Boards including Elara GmbH, CD3 (the joint initiative between EIF and the University of Leuven) and the University of Manchester Premier Fund. She has an MA and DPhil from the University of Oxford.

Mr Slinger joined the Board as a Non-Executive Director in January 2005. Until June 2004 Robin had worked for 34 years at the Royal Bank of Scotland plc, as a Director of Corporate Banking. He had specific responsibilities for corporate clients active within the London, New York and Amsterdam exchanges, gaining broad experience in public listings, placements and general corporate activity in acquisitions and disposals. He is an Associate of The Chartered Institute of Bankers and is also Non-Executive Chairman of CBG Group Plc, which is an insurance company quoted on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange, and a Director of Texas Group plc.
