2.  Reproductive and Personal Health

Source BioScience is proud to offer a suite of services that aim to improve the sexual health of the population.

Source BioScience believes that Reproductive and Personal Health should be looked at through a lifecycle approach as it affects both men and women from infancy to old age. According to United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), reproductive health at any age profoundly affects health later in life. The lifecycle approach incorporates the challenges people face at different times in their lives such as family planning, services to prevent sexually transmitted infections and early diagnosis and treatment of reproductive and personal health illnesses.

Some of our reproductive and personal health testing services include:

Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing

Using cutting-edge technology to analyse foetal cell-free DNA (cfDNA) for chromosomal abnormalities as early as 10 weeks gestation.

Our NIPT Service screens for the following conditions in both singleton and twin pregnancies:

  • Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome)
  • Trisomy 18 (Edwards syndrome)
  • Trisomy 13 (Patau syndrome)

In addition to the above, we can also screen for:

  • Sex chromosome conditions (monosomy X, XXX, XXY, XYY)
  • Other clinically significant trisomies (Please contact us for more information)
  • The presence of a Y chromosome

Pre-Implantation Genetic Screening (PGS)

Common infertility problems addressed by PGS include:

  • Advanced maternal age
  • Unexplained infertility
  • History of miscarriage
  • Pregnancy failure
  • Carrier of genetic diseases

In addition, common syndromes detected by PGS include:
